The Quinta Land
Quinta do Outeiro has five hectares (twelve acres) of cultivated farmland comprising of several thousand fruit trees and extensive vineyards.
We have a carefully selected mix of grape varieties from which we make a custom blended red and white wine especially for the Quinta.
In terms of agriculture, our main seasons cover the cherry harvest (May), apple harvest (June/July), persimmon harvest (August), grape picking (September), chestnut harvest (October) and olive harvest (November/December). In between the harvest activity there is the usual on-going farm maintenance including pruning, re-planting, treatment and clearing of the land.
